Flexible couplings for helicoids spring
• Very high absorption of misalignments
• Elimination of load through misalignment on the shafts
• No wear through fatigue
• Absorption of vibration
• High torsional elasticity
• Protection against brusque accelerations in the transmission
• Stainless steel
SPRING-FLEX cuplings are based on the use of a helicoid spring as an elastic element of transmission. These springs are made of stainless steel and with an oval section. The ends of the spring remain screwed and fixed to the nuclei, which are made of aluminium alloy.
The result is a coupling of great elasticity that allows you to join shafts that are gravely misaligned without the reactions on the ball bearings being very high. The coupling keeps its characteristics in both directions of the turn.
They are appropriate for measuring systems and machines that do not offer a very high resistance and in which the alignment of the shafts is significant or produces variations (thermal dilation, vibrations, movements, etc.). They are not advisable in very fast systems or those of high precision (they can produce resonance in closed positioning ties).
